The Metaverse Web

The World Wide Web, with 3D worlds in place of pages. Every world is its own website, worlds link to each other with portals you walk through, and a browser carries you, your name and your history between them.

Start here: open the Metaverse Browser, or walk straight into Metaverse Square, the plaza with a portal to every registered world.

The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World each have their own world, with a Labubu guide dressed for the period who answers questions about the wonder.

Make a world and join

  1. Click Use this template on world_starter, or add mvw.js, spawn points and a manifest to your own 3D site (PROTOCOL.md section 7).
  2. Publish it on GitHub Pages or anywhere else.
  3. Add it to the registry by pull request. If it’s your own GitHub Pages world it merges automatically, and within minutes it has a portal in Metaverse Square.
